There is a plant in my backyard that began to grow out of nowhere. It has large green leaves, leaves keep growing on its stem, and its plant size is huge. The stem is kind of purple-green. I love this plant and keep taking care of it! What type of plant is this?

Its leaves look like one of lettuce plants if more expanded.

You have to give more details and location. Get a good quality plant book, and you will know how difficult it can be when you have the plant in front of you.

your description is a little vague, but if you didnt plant it its probably some type of weed. If you are deperate to find out take a leaf to your local garden centre and they will identify it for you. Or email me with some more details.
