Age has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. I am 47 and have no symptons yet. I think if you have not had a period for 3 months you are considered to be in menopause or peri menopause. Your Dr. can tell you more if you are interested. There is a ton of info on the subject lately.

Since this topic is in women's health, I am going to assume that we are talking about women. And all I can say is: you stop your period, then you have been/are going through menopause. Some women have no symptoms other than this. I know because I and my two sisters are among them. Must be a genetic factor. OTOH some women have hot flashes, chills, emotional swings.

When you are passing the phase of menopause there are hormonal changes in your body.
It will affect the mind and body simultaneously.
You will feel that some of habits, likings, feelings, moods, emotions etc. are changing.
You will like to be in focus and fear to be out of focus!
Body will start changing too. You will feel tired and need rest.
You will become touchy by nature and breakable by bones!
In short you will experience such things, which occurred never before!
