don't take this as racist as i'm sure a domestic al sharpton is reading this somewhere, but why? is it a trend? It's just that i've known a lot of japanese/vietnamese people over the past 4 or so years and many of them have the same slight red hair dye, and i watch a japanese television show and 80% of people (men and women) have red tinted hair. was just wondering why this style is the only color the majority dye their hair.. thanks

I was actually just wondering what prompted this, as it wasn't like this until recently

There are some Japanese whose natural hair colour is dark red brown. And If Japanese people bleach their black hair a bit, or die their hair using Henna ( Henna is one of popular stuff for hair dye), their black ,or dark brown hair might turn to slightly red colour, but they are not majority of people in Japan. Anyway, in Japan, a slightly red hair is neither popular nor common.
But what I thought from your explanation is that the video film used for broadcasting of the TV program which you are talking about, or your television has some minor problems in its quality or something, and brown or black Japanese hairs on TV are seen somewhat red colour. ^ ^

japanese people have lighter skin than white people and it happens that a lighter hair color goes with their skin tone. also not all of them do it. u should go to japan instead of basing these stupid things on what u see on tv and magazines. i can also ask why do white people bleach their hair platinum blond and get super dark tans.
also to Terry77 you are a dumb fukkk to think japanese people want to look white. y would anyone want to look older than their age.

Some asians think dark hair looks boring. I know a filipino guy who use to die his hair red and he looked nice with it(it's back to his original color now). If the hair color looks nice on them then they should go for it.

it has been well known since world war 2 that the Japanese are IMMITATORS not innovators.

They try to immitate anything that gives them the illusion of blending more into a Caucasion culture. The culture which they looked at as barbaric and inferior....nearly bombed them back into the stone age......so it was quite a wake up call for these people. So they see the Caucasion culture as being powerful in some mystical way to them.

The truth is they are black hair and yellow skin, usually shorter and suffer from much higher rates of stomach cancer.

Their culture is also curiously racist, and they embrace things caucasion, yet despise any of their countrymen that inter-marry.

So let them dye their hair all they want......it wont make them appear white or caucasion in any way shape or form.

America derives its vitality and power from genetic diversity, Americans come in all colors and religions. We are the best people in the world, thats why everyone seems to try to copy us.

Remember...............peace.........through superior firepower

You might look up henna as a hair dye and see what color it is and how long its history runs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henna
