I have a VERIZON monthly plan;
Is text messaging free to other VERIZON users?

Verizon text messaging plan requires a text messaging plan on top of your regular monthly plan. This includes text, picture and video messaging.

For $5.00 a month, you get only 250 messaging.

For $10.00 a month, you get Unlimited text messages to Verizon customers and 500 additional messages.

For $15.00 a month, you get Unlimited text messages to Verizon customers and 1,500 additional messages.

For $20.00 a month, you get Unlimited text messages to Verizon customers and 5,000 additional messages.

I work for a verizon agent. Text messaging is only free if you have a text message plan. You have several options: $10 for unlimited vz to vz txt plus 500 additional, $15 unlimited vz to vz plus 1500 additional or you can even change your plan to the select plan for unlimited txt messaging to anyone which is only $20 more

Only if you are having that feature as an addon. Mobile to mobile is free on family plans but not text message just in case u have a family plan and wondering. Text messages are usually an addons

It Depends on what kind of plain you are on. If you have the unilmited text message plain yes if not you need to see how many text messages you have on a plain I would call and get.
