A girl has been saying she is pregnant but had one possitive test and one negative so the father went out and bought a test to see if it was true or what. She came out of the washroom with the test and there was no lines on it at all. it was simply blank is it that she didn't use it or can this actually happen? Did it ever happen to anyone in here?

i bet she didn't use it... i took several... and they all had either a positive or a negative result... one way to know if she even used it... you have to pee on it and the white part will turn yellow... so if it's all white and no sign of her peeing on it she didnt really take it.

even with a negative result there should be at least one line, if she didn't use it at all the stick should be white, dry and not smell like pee. if its wet and still just white then she ran it under water.if she actually peed on it then the absorbant stick should be lightly yellow and you can tell it as used. I did have a defective test one time, it was a generic wal-mart test. it came back positive but 2 hours later at the doc the test there was negative and so was the blood test. I got a normal period the next day.

Yes they can . We did one as a joke at my baby shower . I was 9 months pregnant . It came out negative. Go to a doctor for a blood test.

Simple answer
You can get a false negative, but not a false positive.
Pregnancy test detect hcg, something that is produced by the embryo/fetus.

If she didn't dip it in urine, or if the urine was very diluted it would be invalid.
