Hi there,

Just had a question about the AC in my 94 Prizm. The AC blows cool when its not too hot out, but once it gets above 80 and humid, the AC just blows luke-warm air.

I think I just need more refigerant and I believe its the old freon. What kind of repair should I get and how much do you think it'll cost?

Thanks!

WOW, the 1st 2 adult men haven't any concept what they're speaking approximately. particular, it is the comparable as a Corolla. There are some alterations--the suspension is Geo is diverse (somewhat extra useful actual), the exterior has minor seen alterations, and (a minimum of interior the submit-1996 Prizms, i'm undecided a pair of 'ninety 4) the radio and aircon structures are outfitted via Delco quite than Toyota. No, one hundred fifty,000 isn't too many miles; i latterly observed a Prizm with just about 3 hundred,000. If i wanted a motor vehicle i might in my view pay $1400 for it, hassle-free. additionally, congrats on attempting to get out of debt.

It's a closed system, and the refrigerant isn't "used up" in some way, so if it's low you have a leak. If you have a leak, it needs to be fixed. The cost would depend on what is leaking. Or you could have a bad compressor. Take it in for diagnostic testing and you have a better idea.
