Tender has this stuff called After Bite that you can get from Wal-Mart that works really well. You want to put it on before you start scratching because if you scratch it a bunch and then put it on it will burn really bad. But it definately works and it won't itch for awhile.

I really don't know...I have always lived in the South where it is a constant battle with mosquitoes, and I have never heard that saying before. I might try it the next time one bites me...lol

no i dont, & NO it doesnt work. i've found that rubbing alcohol helps to dry the little suckers out.
