Prostitutes are regarded as victims these days. It is their clients, particularly cruisers, that are demonised. The EU and women's Rights, I think, have probably changed attitudes. (Did you mean the EU and not the UN)? I don't have a problem with legalised prostitution, as long as it is properly, regulated, but I do have a problem blaming men for looking for prostitutes on the street, when they are only doing it because that is where the prostitutes are. Surely, the prostitutes rely on it. Moreover, the idea of thinking all prostitutes to be victims is ridiculous, because it is the male sex drive that is being exploited.

I hope it does. It should be legal anyways. I've never used a prostitute, have no want, or desire to use one. But if A person wants to make a living selling sex then he or she should be allowed to. they should be regulated, safe sex should be a must, and the sellers should be tested regularly. prostitution is the oldest profession for a reason, you're never going to get rid of it. It's been outlawed in the states for years, and it's still going stronger then ever. They just changed their game a little, I mean come on what's the difference between a prostitute and a porn star? They both do the same thing, one just gets filmed doing it.

Prostitution is either the oldest or second oldest profession.
It exploits women even the "volunteers" and therefore can never ever be regarded a a legitimate profession.
Therefore some form of tolerance may be OK but that tolerance must be aimed at freeing women from that exploitation.
This is a difficult question and I am attempting to see both sides of it

No, I don't believe it has to be declared a social culture by the UN. Nothing has to be a social culture; things become a social culture through evolution, acceptance, existence, etc.

Its the worlds oldest proffesion, and although I have never used it (trust me, lol!) I hope it does become legalised, that way they can get the support and regular health checks they need, also make them pay £10 income tax per customer!!!

It's always been part of culture, and should be controlled and protected and regulated like any other kind of business.
