EDITED!!!!!
I was raised a Seventh Day Adventist and taught that coffee was very bad for you! Our family was on vacation and there was some instant coffee in our motel room bathroom. I was so curious about how it tasted that I took the packet and the plastic cup into the shower, added hot water to it and drank it! I was about 8! It was horrible and I was confused as to why people drank it! At age 18 I started drinking it and now, at age 49, I've come up with my own coffee drink that I just love:
Pour ice cold Vitamin D milk into your favorite glass or mug then add as much instant coffee as you find satisfies your taste buds then sugar to taste! In the winter time, heat the milk of course!
After drinking that, regular coffee out of a coffee maker tastes like crap!

I was 12 when I started drinking coffee and I'm not twelve anymore! Hahaha!
And I think my parents regrets introducing me to the wonderful taste and smell of coffee. I get super wired on coffee and I usually drag them for a karaoke session when I'm high on caffeine!

My folks used to let me have a little with lots of milk and sugar. I loved the coffee flavor. I think I hit the caffeine full throttle in my early 20s, then slowed down over the years to a couple of cups in the morning.

I started drinking coffee in high school. What hair brain was it that decided teenagers should be up at the crack of dawn, anyway? Some thirty years later I can make it in my sleep and my eyes don't open without that cuppa joe.
