It just maybe he is getting cold feet. I would talk to him. My wife & I fought a lot more the weeks leading up to the wedding. It is VERY stressful. It was jerkish to text message you, but you need to know for sure if he is just stressed or wants out.
If he want out, let him. Make sure everyone knows he did not have the courage to do it face to face.

It makes you feel bad. But, it is better to do this prior to a marriage than waiting for a year or any period of time. Move on there are lots of choices out there.

This guy has no back bone or no pride. Step up to the plate and ignore every sound and movement that he makes and go on with your life. I would even search for answer out of him.
