I would like to know what does the motto of St. Lucia means... the motto is "The Land, The People, The Light" I kinda understand the part of the land and the people but what does the light means?? please tell me the answer and if you can give me a web page where I can read about the meaning

The Name Lucia comes from the Latin Root LUX, or "light". Also St. Lucia (or Lucy) has December 13 as her feast day, and is traditionally celebrated with the festival of lights.
