No there is not. She either uses a tampon, wears a soggy pad, or stays out of the water.

There are no waterproof pads, and she can't wear it into the water. If she's going to the actual beach, as in the ocean, if she were to enter the water wearing a pad that has been bled on, she could very well attract sharks (I'm serious), and she would come out of the water looking like she was wearing a diaper because the pad would absorb as much liquid as it could, just like a baby in a diaper.
If she plans on going in the water, she need to use a tampon. If she has trouble getting them in, tell her to get a slim-fit or a "teen" fit option; they are usually smaller and easier to insert. If she has trouble still inserting them, tell her to put some lubricant on the tip of the applicator; she could use something like KY jelly or a tiny dab of Vaseline to help it slide in. Tell her it's easier to insert a tampon while standing up with one foot up on something.

I've never hear of a "waterproof" pad. Your friend should definetly consider a tampon. If she's a virgin and is worried about using a tampon, they have very small tampons now. If not, she should stay out ot the water or else be really embarresed.

I'm 13 and i HATE tampons to but another good product to use is Pearl. They are really soft so u dont feel it at all. The actual Tampons are way to hard and i TOTALLY understand. Just try it yourself before u recommend it to her to try it out. I hope this helped!

Shell have to either not go swimming or use a tampon. You can't swim with a pad on.
