I started working in a retail dept store couple of months ago. This co-worker who is not happy with my work being a b****. You probably know how sales work, everything is based on commision. So, the way I work is to help costumer to make sure what they need and get what they want, that way I make more sales. Apparently she thinks different. She is more lazy than me and would wait behind the register with hope she would make more sales but she forgot that those are my costumers and I would not share because I've worked to help those costumers. Couple of days ago, she left me with tons of clothes in dressing room and in a rack. I just got back from my lunch and she left me with that and plus she wasnt willing to help me at all. I know she did it on purpose but I've talked to my managers anyway, they would talk to her. I hope they would take a serious action to her. How should I act to my co-worker who has done that to me and doesnt like me bcause I am more successful than her?

sorry lady but it sounds like you are the b**ch in this story, I work in retail sales also and you have to be a bit of a shark, or in this case a b**ch. in order to have that edge on the other sales people. and as for her being lazy honey it all about how bad you want to be number on in sales that's all that matters. if your as good as you think you are then you will be there when she is gone won't you.

it is important that you continue with your professional attitude towards her...she is wicked and she is conspiring to you hoping that the managers will fall for her trap. if your managers have any common sense...they will see that you do your job (most importantly, help the customers and make sales ) and that your co-worker is lathargic and lazy. and wastes her energy trying to make you look inadequate. be professional.

Be as nonchalant as possible. , Dont be her friend or tell her your business. Dont let her get you down because Im sure thats what she wants. Management must notice her behavior

You must be civil but not social. Is there anyway you or she can be moved to a different department? If not, give her time and enough rope...she will hang herself.
