Okay so someone has to give this question a little respect. Nuclear bombs going off in New York. I mean two buildings.... by sky jacked planes and look what it did to the economy. Everything else seems to have redundancy but the economy just is.

The worst thing that can happen is what is happening right now. The country has become too diversified and fragmented. It is kind of like having three or four "majorities". We have carried democracy a little too far and have allowed too many freedoms. Along with freedom comes the necessity to hold ones self back from carrying it too far. We are out of control and this country is in the crapper bad. The liberals would have you believe being in the crapper is a good thing.

There are certain moral standards that remain timeless regardless of the evolution of public opinion. Those minimum standards are:
1 don't lie ,
2 don't cheat,
3 don't steal,
4 don't inflict injury do derive pleasure,
5 do respect yourself and others.
America needs to not allow those standards to become vague...The news media is part of the entrainment industry and has provided role models that imply that it isn't so bad and maybe even pretty cool to lie, cheat , steal and disrespect ones self and others.
The shift to the lower standards will provide the country with generations of selfish and cheating populations not willing to do what is right. The consequences of that shift are disastrous.

The worst thing? If America were to become a force for destroying everything that the Constitution stands for, that would be the worst.
Not only would we be destroyed, but we would continue on to destroy others.

Electing either: Mitt Romney, Rudy, Fred Thompson, John McCain as the next president of the United States. I think the worst has already happened in my opinion. We elected Geroge W. Bush TWICE!!!!

Worst is that Hiklary Clintoon would be elected and we become a 3rd world country and loose the freedoms we have fought to gain...She is for a one world government along with her hubby and have the promise of China and other big money to get a piece of the pie! EVIL EVIL woman!

That it becomes a Theocracy - like a totally Christian or Muslim nation. That would be the worst thing that could happen.
Well - that and Al Gore becoming president. He would get rid of all of the cows because cow farts cause "global warming"

Which America North or South? I suppose that you know North America has at least four nations, Canada USA, Mexico, Cuba and a few others. Whereas South America has numerous more, Brazil, Uruguay, Chili, Paraguay, and many more. Are you another USA'er that thinks North America belongs to the USA?
