Everyone is different, much depends on genetics, talk with your Mom about when she started. You can start as early as 11 and as late as 17 or older. Don't worry and don't rush it, you'll tire of it soon enough. As menopause (period stopping) can start as early in a woman's 40's to as late as her 60's, you'll have many years of once a month cramps, mood swings, being bloated, gassy and all of the other things that can come with periods. Enjoy NOT having to deal with it yet!

2-3 months I would think. Mine was really irregular when it first started too. It's normal when you are younger.

i got mine really young (5th grade?!) and it was irregular at first. i am thirteen now and it is totally predictable, but everyone is different, and if yours started recently then it is normal for it to not be regular.
