The Dodgers have the second most appearances with 18 - (9 from their time in Brooklyn and 9 from their time in Los Angeles).
The Cardinals have 17 appearances (as do the Giants), but the second most World Series championships with 10. I guess the Cardinals would be considered second in appearances if you mean the team needs to be in the same city. However, the Dodgers franchise was the same in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, only the location was different.

Murjab is correct - the Dodgers have the second-most appearances, with 18. The Giants should be rightfully be tied with them, but they have 17 because the 1904 World Series - in which they would have played - was cancelled.
The Cardinals are second in World Series titles with 10.
