Men and women are different, and they peak sexually at different ages.
A man's sex drive is the highest when he's young, and a woman's sex drive is highest after she's 35.
It has to do with upbringing, culture and self-image.

Yes it is...undoubtedly! While there is the physical side to sex, it seems that women's desires are EXTREMELY emotional in nature, hence making their sexual needs based on feelings and their need for true intimacy. Guys needs are seemingly more physical, and only tend to be emotional if the guy ovulates or has a high estrogen content. As for it being more obvious that guys are on the prowl for their next down-the-pants interlude, that stems forth from guys NEEDING sex...women like sex and can be FAR more reserved in looking for it because, ultimately, most of the decision making power lies in their hands. Should they decide to go for it, stopping an aroused woman is like jumping in front of a freight train. If there's no desire to stay with any given woman after both parties have had their fun, the guy is always left in the position of a bear caught in a trap sometimes having to gnaw its own paw off to escape and survive....good luck

I think a woman's sex drive changes with time and maturity. We are taught that women who enjoy sex and embrace sexuality are less desirable as wives or mates, so we repress and pretend. After we mature, we realize that a woman who embraces sexuality is a desirable mate and is a happier person. So, we become more sexual creatures and express our desire more often.
Men are taught that it is normal and natural that they want and seek sex, so they are the most ovbious pursuers. Besides, its all a game. Men want the thrill of the hunt and women want to be sought after.
For me, I can say that my sex drive is definately higher than my husband's.

Yes I'd say it was true. I think women in this culture anyway are taught from an early age to curb or ignore their desire until it becomes buried so deep that it almost takes an act of the divine to make it resurface. I blame it on the religious majority of this country and the male based society we live in. We (women) are taught that our sexuality is evil, bad, perverted and many other negative things. If you don't believe me look at what is said about women who are sexually aggressive or active. They are criticized while males are encouraged. It is all about power and who has it. Blessed Be.

Sexual desire or "hotness" is a personal condition and in some countries;women and men are hotter than others countries;depends on the temperature level....(Latin America,Brazil, etc). The only difference is:a man talks...and a woman listen and accept or ..listen to another man!!!

Oh my, I have never heard that one. I have always thought that men have the greater desire. I will say however, that as a woman, I have noticed that my desire has grown exponentially as I've gotten older. I am 45 and I can tell you that my husband and I sometimes can't agree on who has the greater desire because it's a toss-up.

All that you need to do in order to prove that statement to be lame is read from this site. Sexual desire in women (in my opinion) is greatly exaggerated. Mainly by those women who feel superior to men. You now the ones... They're smarter, they're more loving, they're more devoted and so on. All BS by the way. It goes way back to the beginning of the woman's right movements and has trickled down to a general way of thinking by the female persuasion.

our desire is fueled by emotion, not just a voice between our legs. We have a stronger desire when we truly care for someone, whereas (maybe?) men have the same horny feelings whether with someone special or not.
