That would be the skeletal system.

If you didn't have a skeleton, you'd be a mushy pile of organs and skin, unable to do anything but slither around. If someone stepped on you, your organs would be crushed.

There are two: The Skeletal System and the Muscular System.

The Skeletal System provides the first line of defence. The skull protects the brain from mild knocks and the ribs protect the heart from similar mild knocks.

The Muscular System anchors the organs and prevents them from crashing into skeletal structures. So if you're thrown off your motorbike, say, and don't even knock your head or your chest against an immovable object, the muscular system prevents your brains from smashing into your skull from inside and your heart from pulping itself on the inside of your ribs.
