I'm having a pity party right now, care to join me!!! lol

I have to admit that, I don't like to admit to self pity, but sometimes it just bites ya in the butt and hangs on until you can shake it off.

Yes, I would have trouble admitting to self-pity, because I would be ashamed of feeling that way and I would definitely feel like I should change the way I'm thinking or feeling. Self-pity is the pit that you can't or won't climb out of. Self-pity is allowing yourself to feel helpless. Taking control and making choices is the way to dig yourself out of whatever problems that cause self-pity, and I find the latter option to be more desirable.

Not at all
I can be an absolute power whiner at times and sit on the pity pot until I get tired of hearing myself whine.
Those around me have loooonng since become tired of hearing me, I must add.

Yes. Therefore, I won't allow it anymore... I have removed "self-pity" from my vocabulary, and do whatever it takes to keep it out of mind.

No, I usually announce when I have a pity-party....then I get the sympathy I crave, and move on.

Not especially. I sometimes have trouble *identifying* it, but once I do, I'm likely to admit it right away.

As the elders say, as do I:

"Well, I could tell you of my troubles, but why bother and burden you with all the details. But I'm always willing to be bothered and burdened with all of yours...My Friend!"
