My partner and I have had baby names picked out for quite a while now. We have 2 girls names, and one boys name.
Addison Kay is our first girl. Addison because we are both in love with the name, and Kay becase all the firstborn girls in her family have that middle name.
Mariah Catherine is our second girl. She loves the name Mariah, I could take it or leave it. But Catherine was my mother's name, and I really like the way that they sound together.
Davis Dean is our boys name. My fathers is Davis and hers is Dean. We originally really liked the ring it had, though we've recently discovered how country it sounds, lol.
We are looking for one more good boys name...

The name you give your child can impact his or her future success in life.

Psychology Today published a study that surveyed over 500 Human Resource managers and over 150 college admissions counselors at competitive admission universities. The results showed that a person’s first name was a large factor in determining whether or not a person made it past the initial screening process for hiring or admission. People with odd or unusual names were more likely to be rejected while people with certain names – which Psychology Today termed “power names” – were more likely to pass the initial screening. Here are the top ten “power names” as rated by Psychology Today.

Girls

1. Catherine
2. Jennifer
3. Aimee
4. Elizabeth
5. Mary
6. Michelle
7. Sarah
8. Amelia

Mariah Catherine is lovely! I don't really care for Addison Kay though, sorry.

As for the boys name, I agree that it sounds a bit country. Aren't there any male names in your family trees that you like?

Some you may like and that have the same 'feel' as Davis Dean in my opinion:

Jesse Parker
Preston Cooper
Trevor Cole
Jackson Tyler
Wyatt Brody

Hope this helps!

For a boy I like the name Josh. I think it is so cute. A good middle name for it may be Nicolas. Your decision but I think that would be cute.

Oh, by the way if you do have a girl I would go with Addison Kay. I love it and you both do too. And I also like Davis Dean. Very different but cute. It goes nicely together.

I love all the names you have picked out!! As for another boy name, why don't you both look at your family trees and pick a name from each one that sounds good together. Or you could make a combo of each of your names. I don't know. It just seems like the names you already have mean something to you and if you pick a name from someone on here it won't seem as special. That's just my two cents! Hope I helped!

I'm preg with my 3rd baby. My first 2 are girls so I just knew this one was going to be a boy. BUT it's a girl!! Anyway, the name that we had picked out for our boy was Cane. I love that name and it has various ways to spell it too. Like Kayne, Cain, Cane. Good luck and congrats on the baby.
