Raised without a father and they are looking for a father figure. Trying to gain what they never had. Sometimes money and sometimes they may feel that they are not accepted by younger men.
Either way, they were not nurtured correctly or loved correctly.

By grossly aged I guess you mean in an example like, women in their 20's married to a man in his 80's? That I really don't know. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, it could just be a personal preference for them.

Please give me a break. who wants his money? maybe some girls do. but others are looking for Father figures and NOTHING more.
I was 22 years old when I met my Daughter's daddy. he was about the same age of my dad. who abused me. I wanted love lots of love i didn't want his damn money. i have my OWN!!. turns out he gave me the best gift ever my Daughter.
Now i have all the love i need and do not need a father figure
so before you say money think maybe they are missing something in their lives. just maybe they need LOVE and nothing more

The misconception that an older man will be more mature than a younger man, the father figure idea can also be part of it. And then there is good old fashioned love.
