Given he has been in charge of the treasury and I cannot see any economic development (and i mean on the ground, what i see myself, jobs, prices falling, better salaries etc..) I am not impressed! Also this is the berk who believes higher taxes is better for us. I am not convinced at all! How about you? Or is it time to copy Guy Fawlks and burn parliament?

a Scotsman has been given the top job to keep the Scots quiet. too little too late. In Scotland we don't need to burn down Parliament its falling down by itself on top of the NL politicians much to the amusement of edinburgh folk......it is a sign from the gods

You answered your own question. Blair was never in charge; Brown ran the finances, and the man who shakes the cashbox rules the world!

There has been no change of government. There has been a lot of nice-sounding talk, but no real hope of a change. Our pensions have been blown out of the water, we've been told we'll get no referendum on the EU treaty, he's being his usual stingy self over aid for the flood victims.

No, it's going to be no better. Just the same - if we're lucky.

No, he and his Scottish cabal will continue to be slaves to America and we will descend into the dark ages just like America, Ireland, Italy and the other countries run by religion.

GOOD QUESTION...England's finest hour, was to appoint Gordon Brown. He served you well as a chancellor. Would Tony Blair make a good chancellor? It's not a case of " BETTER ". It's a matter of leadership. Calm and steady, captain.
