You can eat anything, if it's done properly. Spaghetti should not be cut. A small amount (bite size) is rolled on a spoon with a fork until it can be placed in the mouth without any "hanging." Meat should be cut one piece at a time. Soup can be tricky, but don't slurp or tilt the bowl. The spoon should be moved away from you, not toward. Personally, I would avoid "finger foods," such as pizza, BBQ ribs, fried chicken, and corn on the cob (even with skewers) unless you are comfortable eating with the person you're with.

Dining is a pleasant experience....do it well.

Anything messy! Or strings down or gets stuck in your teeth like spinach. lol Nothing really BIG, like a big juicy hamburger, as that would be messy, epecially The whopper. lol unless you both eat the same thing, nothing with onions, garlic. Parsley is a good breath saver if you have nothing else around. If you don't get any on your plate, excuse yourself and go to the men/women's room and ask for a piece. Rub it all over your teeth, tongue chew it and you could swallow if it you want, but I wouldn't.

Unless the date is from Louisiana I think one should stay away from boiled crawfish and garlic heads. Some folks get queasy when they see someone sucking crawfish heads. I mean that is where the real flavor is (i.e., the fat in the head). Also, after eating boiled garlic heads ones f*rts can raise the dead.
