Humans must include humanity in the list of greatest enemies, but the virus is up there as an enemy. Religious radicals, especially the Wahabbie Sunni sect of Saudia Arabia are also among the top enemies if one wishes to break it down to the component parts.
Political correctness & the propensity to exclude some things from scientific investigation or even discussion is a bit further down the list, but a significant problem. I have to pick humanity as mankind's greatest enemy, but the virus is an ever present danger that continues to adapt to take advantage of an increasing human population.
Because religion & ideology plus all the associated disagreements were invented by Man, then man is his own worst enemy.

Overpopulation, and the religious superstitions which exalt the breeding instinct as holy. The tradition of having children to take care of us in our old age (conditional love) and having plenty of extras is a tradition gone bad. It is time to start thinking about "Quality of Life, instead of Quantity of Life". Look at any or all of the problems going on in the world today and see if they would exist if people had more room to live. Also Woman's greatest enemy.

Time.
Man's race against time.
It makes you do stuff and rarely let's u out of the trap.
You can never go back.
If people can go back to time and correct their mistakes EACH AND EVERYONE of them will do so.
The most beautiful love story-in the end the couple get tired of each other.
The worst crime-You regret
The best day-You long for it
Time is our one and only enemy.
ps: Time could be god itself in a way.

Religion, possibly. I'm not blaming atheists or believers, but just look at the R&S forum. Look at the basis of some of the greatest wars in history.
It was a big deal that JFK was Roman Catholic. It's a big deal that Mitt Romney is Mormon. It would be a big deal if an atheist ran for office - or a Muslim, or Hindu.

Man's greatest enemy is man. WE are the ones destroying the planet...WE are the ones at war...We turn a deaf ear to the plights of others...I could go on and on but you get the picture.

Apathy. We don't care that we're polluting the earth to death because we wont be alive when the earth finally loses it's potential to house living creatures, we don't care about the lives of others and will actually find ways to justify killing. The glory of war? That saying makes me nauseas. We just don't give a damn and that will be our destruction.
