( Disclaimer : I think Bush/Cheney & Co. have been an almost unmitigated disaster . I did say "almost")
Bush achievements :
* The Taliban & their Al Qaeda enforcers don't rule Afghanistan anymore .
* Got Libya to see light & give up it's nuclear ambitions .
* Helped the Ukrainian democracy activists succeed, with a deft enough touch that it was (mostly ) seen as a point in our favor ( p.r.-wise)
* Lebanon? I suspect the "Orange Revolution" had more to do with it, but Iraqi election did have some influence on provoking the Lebanese to oust Syria & demand actual democracy.
* Has done more, & brought more attention to Darfur , than would otherwise have happened . Wish he would do more, but it's more than anybody else .
* Ditto, the problem of AIDS in Africa &...
*International sex trafficking
* Saddam's gone . I don't like the cost, method & consequences, but that's one concrete result .
* Brought actual diversity to the upper levels oof government , not just " for show" people, for politics' sake.
* After Sept 11th, headed off the likely anti-Arab, anti- Muslim backlash , that might have otherwise have happened in this country. One of the few, if only, time(s) that I was proud of him as "Our President".

Passed new bankruptcy legislation making bankruptcy nearly un-attainable for low income families while not effecting high income individuals or corporations.
Improved the stock values of numerous weapons manufacturers
Dealt a blow to international terrorism practiced in the United States by massively destabilizing the Middle East.
Opened drilling and commercial harvesting rights in many previously protected areas.
Improved the stock value of many pharmaceutical corporations.
Redefined the constitution of the United States to eliminate the perceived right of privacy
Redefined the courts of the United States to be a political instrument.
The list goes on. This administration has broken too much ground to quickly record here.

Success:
1. The initial invasion of Afghanistan. Right time, right target, right mission, and had the backing of the world. The initial interface with the various warlords and pulling them onto our side was sheer brilliance, though more of that was probably due to the wisdom of the planners in the Pentagon and the commanders in the field than GWB himself but he obviously gave them a clearly defined mission and the initial resources to achieve it. I wasn't keen on him prior to that as I didn't like his positions on Social Security reform, commingling of church and state (faith-based initiatives), the Patriot Act and tax cuts but was willing to reconsider my position at least somewhat.
2. Unfortunately there are no more... (Retracted in part. See below.)
Addendum: mikeinportc (below) has made some good points and I'll generally agree with those positive items.
Failures:
1. Losing focus on Afghanistan and diverting the resources that would have destroyed al Queda and going after a tin-pot dictator in Iraq with no valid reason to do so.
2. Failed SS policy.
3. His take on immigration reform. No "reform" is needed, just enforcement of the laws currently on the book.
4. Using Evangelical Christians to further his political goals publicly and then ridiculing them behind the scenes. They've now come to their senses and a large block of them have abandoned the Republican party.
5. His response to Katrina. "You're doing a great job, Brownie!" A national disgrace and embarrassment.
6. Fear-mongering after 9/11 instead of rising up and declaring, "You will NOT change us!"
7. Domestic spying.
8. Can't string together a coherent sentence to save his soul.
9. "Nook-You-Ler". Another embarrassment.
10. The oft repeated phrase, "Mistakes were made," but without the backbone to say, "I f*cked up."

He's enriched the oil and gas industry to a level beyond belief. Those guys need to build a giant statue in his honor and start sacrifcing virgins at its base.

I can, honey, there aren't, unless you mean keeping his friends out of jail, making more and more of his buddies extremely wealthy, and reducing the middle class to about nothing.....If we are lucky, we will not have another republican president for the rest of this century.
