I felt my first real big, obvious kick at almost eighteen weeks. They've not yet been regular, though. My doctor told me that I won't be feeling regular movement until the third trimester and not to worry about that. She just wants to know when I do feel it. She said that I should feel fluttering periodically from now on, and the occasional kick and punch. It'll become more regular later. :)

Yep!
I felt my baby move for the first time when I was about 20 weeks. I felt him move a few times over the first couple of days and then for nearly a week....HARDLY ANYTHING!
I was really worried and went to see my midwife, who explained that babies are only human. They have up days and down days; on up days they may move and jump like they're having a party in there. On others they may just prefer to rest, kick back and chill. Plus, the baby also may be more active at night, when you're less likely to know they're moving about due to being asleep.
Feeling small movements are a sign though that the baby is fine, but as a guide in the later stages of pregnancy (ie in the last 8 weeks or so) you should feel the baby move at least 10 times a day. This is the guide given in the back of my red pregnancy book from the midwife.
Now I'm 33 weeks and there's no stopping him-he kicks up under my ribs and hurts me, jumps so hard at night he wakes me up....its all been worth it though.
Don't worry about it though, it sound perfectly normal to me, although if you have any serious worries, talk to your midwife about them. Another thing that may help is a book called What To Expect When You're Expecting. Its absolutely brilliant for answering THOUSANDS of questions regaring pregnancy. Even the question you asked here pops up in there. I got my copy in Asda...!

Of course :) I started feeling movements about 20 weeks, and everyone is different. ONLY once the movements become regular, be sure to check up on them and if you notice a quiet spell for a couple of days, contact your midwife as it could indicate the baby's having problems, especially if this follows a fall or bump. Towards the end of third trimester, movements will become less as the baby has less space to move in, and it's head will have become engaged ready to come out :)

This is very normal, my friend! You will feel more and more movement as your pregnancy progresses. (Something silly and fun to do is when you are lying down, when you are very big, put an object on your "bump" and when the fetus is active, watch it move....lol) Anyhow, the growing baby will go through long periods of sleep and won't move much at these times. At fist notice the movements feel fluttery, but as time goes by they will feel like prods and pushes and mmmphs!! Also the baby may tend to use your bladder as a trampoline which will make you have to pee a bunch. You will, as time goes by, be able to feel the baby's bottom or head as well and tell how it is lying. Good luck and congratulations!!!!!

it incredibly is okay you're in basic terms 21 weeks pregnant. The movements selection from woman to woman. Your infant is often shifting around, you in basic terms would possibly no longer have the skill to experience it very in many circumstances. i think my son kick so a lot extra beneficial than he used to. i'm now 6 a million/2 months pregnant. i like it whilst he kicks, yet there are days once I not often experience it in any respect. babies additionally get into their very own recurring over the years. i think him circulate at particular hours and different hours he does not. do no longer subject approximately it sweetie, in case you think of a few thing is faulty, then call you healthcare expert or midwife.

Yes it is totally normal, I am 19 weeks pregnant and feel the same things, i have been feeling my baby since 14 weeks. SO DONT WORRY. Some days your baby will be very active, and other days your baby will be sleeping and just not moving much. Its normal. The baby still isnt that big so your not going to feel EVERYTHING all the time, this soon.
Just relax the baby is fine, its just resting.

At this stage your baby is still so small, sometimes you won't even feelin it's movements. But just know that he's there.
Once you get to 28-30 weeks you doctor will give you a kick card to count the baby's movement during their most active time.
Good luck.

yup it is comletlely normal, during pregnancy your baby will go through phases where he is extremely active and never stops and at other times will be really dozey and just sleep all the time waking occasionally to give you the odd jab to remind you he's there!!!
also you have to take into account the size of the baby and the size of yourself, he may have just moved into a new position in a different part of the uterus and thats why you not feeling him as often.
dont worry yourself i went through the same earlier in my pregnancy (32 weeks now) and this is all what the midwife told me.
enjoy the peace while it lasts in a few weeks you'll probably wish he was more settled!!!
good luck
