Definitely the slow boat and i would prefer to be picked up ;) The roller coaster is great if it can come without the hedonism.

Did the roller coaster in my 20's and early 30"s - had alot of fun, hurt some people (some intentionally, most not), wouldn't trade that experience. Now I'm glad I had my fun and am ready to relax on the boat with my husband and children.

So glad I took care of being wild when I was still young - I know people who got married and had children when they were young and are now trying to regain their youth. Few things are so pathetic as a 40-50 yo trying to be hip and swingin' - with their high school age kids in tow...

A roller-coaster! They are so much fun and if i ride a wave i have a 100% chance of falling off because I am uncoordinated. I don't have that 100% chance with a roller-coaster

Are you asking if I would rather spend my life speeding toward the pursuit of happiness, or sail slowly towards peace?

I think wild adventures can be very exciting, but such joy can be fleeting.

Sustained contentment, seems kind of like a Ben Harper "Forever." Maybe that seems boring to some, but there is not room for them in my boat anyway.

If you are truly alive, change is the norm. You have ups, roller coaster, downs, hitting the pavement, comfort times, rolling down the river on an innertube. We all want peace with a few exciting times thrown in. Thats my take on it. Blessings on you.

I've always found a combination of the two to be most satisfying.
