MART-rd, with the accent on the first syllable. The root word is martyr, so you just add the "ed". I'm not sure if martyred is even a word, since martyr is a noun, and martyred would be an adjective. However, lots of similar words are given a different part of speech for emphasis, so often times a noun is made into an adjective or verb. Confused? So am I! :)
