This is very controversial. This was not written by a follower, it was written buy someone who lived 200-300 years later than the period of time Jesus lived and preached. he called himself Phillip (to give validity to his sayings - so that people could confuse him with Phillip, the biblical figure) hence the title the Gospel by Phillip, were the phrase was located. The so called "gospel" was not considered canonical, that means that it was not considered worth of being inserted in the Bible, it was heretical, written by a man that had a set of beliefs that are called gnostic (search the term on Wikipedia and learn the whole story), condemned by the Church. So all of these detail imply 2 things:

1) The fact that Jesus used to kiss is probably not true. Even if it is, this doesn't have a sexual connotation, because in those days, people often kissed themselves on the lips to express respect and love. This might be the case of Jesus who loved ALL of his Apostles.

2) The fragments that we found in which these are written are deteriorated due to age. Actually what those bastards in the DaVinci Code (the most controversial booked that described the sexual relation between Jesus and Mary, and the place where you probably found this statement) didn't know is that on the manuscript only these words are written: " Jesus used to kiss Mary Magdalene often on her..." and they assumed that in the missing piece of parchment was the word "mouth". But it could be anything: cheek, foot, forehead, arm, leg whatever....they just fitted the word that is more appropriate to a modern approach to relationships.

Is it true... we just don't know. But it could be after all he was a Man and God. Which of the two natures was more predominant...we will never know...

What "follower"?? I have studied theology for four years, and I never came upon that piece of writing OR that myth. There are certain factions in the Christian faith, namely some evangelical protestant denominations, who are trying to portray Mary, Jesus' mother, as a whore and as a charlatan, but I have yet to hear from any crowd who believes that story about Mary Magdalen and Jesus. Further, even if He did, if it was the custom of the time, there would be nothing amiss about it.

Chow!!

Which follower was that? Reference please. And, if, you have one, what does this imply? Now, you will also see that Judas delivered Jesus to the soldiers, by giving him a kiss. Does this imply something to you? What, exactly are you getting at?
How would we know if it is true or not?
And one final question, SO WHAT? He was a man.

the discovery of the nostic i think im not sure about the spelling bibles showed that there was a passage which said that however the word mouth did not appear as the words past kissed were not identifiable on the parchment. i think it had been torn. however these were rejected as scripts and cant be seen in the bible so their credbility is questionable.
