Lettuce. I'm addicted to the stuff but I have to buy it fresh so I can only buy a maximum of five at a time (although one time Morrisons were selling them for 10p each and I did buy ten).
However, if I could freeze it then I'd be able to buy as much as I wanted and since I get paid monthly and therefore only tend to buy it on payday. If I could freeze lettuce, I could have it all month long.
I have got round this a little though .... There is a loop hole. If I do a favour for any of my colleagues, I always charge a fee. My standard fee for a favour is a head of lettuce. If its a big favour, they can add salad cream (Heinz, of course) and any other salad stuff they like.
I'm actually owed about five heads of lettuce at the minute. I might have to remind them about their debts; I only have half a head in the fridge.

No, no no no no.
You CAN freeze bananas and strawberries.
I'm after foods that you would love to be able to freeze but because of the delicate nature of their makeup, you can't.
