Which side of an elevator do *you* stand on?

Question

Nearest to the door, farthest from the door, left, right, or middle?

and if it's possible...why:?

I don't think i've ever payed attention. If it's empty then closer to the buttons if not right in the middle.

I hate elevators, so I stand near the door to be the first one off

I usually go to the back of the elevator, especially in hospitals. If someone in a wheelchair gets in the elevator, then they will have plenty of space to exit when they leave the elevator. It's just simple courtesy.

I walk in and stand in the back opposite corner of where the keys are. Don't know why but thats my normal spot everyday up to the 17th floor.

farthest to the door:) so i don't have to move when someone else comes in
and I like to look at myself in the elevator mirror..:)

If I can I stand at the very back or on the left. Not sure why, good question though!

The front, the side with the buttons. But if its crowded, I will stand pretty much anywhere.

I like taking the stairs when it's only a few floors, and they are easy to find/conveniently located.

Depends on how many people are on there.
If none but me, then the right side first.. press floor number. Then move to the middle..

I stand where ever there is space on the elevator.
