Okay, my computer froze on me, so I had to turn it off. I turned it back on about half an hour later. Everything came back on, except my printer. It wont turn back on. I tried unplugging the cord from my hard drive to the printer. But that didn't work. But before I did that I tried to turn on my printer by the on/off switch. That didn't work. I use Windows XP Professional. I also have a Hawlett Packard printer.
What do I do to make my printer turn on? Because I want to upload pictures from my digital camera to my printer and I can't do it with the printer not working.

Do the following steps:

1). Remove both the USB and Power cable from "both ends" of the cables.

2). wait for 2 mins.

3). connect only power cable with printer and wall socket.

4). Chk for the solid green light in printer. If yes go to step 5, else go to step 6.

5). connect USB cable and start printing.

6).Try with diff wall socket. or with diff power cable.
Still same issue then call HP Tech support. 1-800-6836 for replacement.

7). Call tech support, if the light blinks,!

Else, email me the exact situation after these steps.

Unplug the printer from the wall for two minutes. Then, plug it back in, and turn it on, but don't connect the USB cable to the PC. You should see the Power light come on. If not, the printer may be toast. If OK:

Reboot your PC, then, connect the printer's USB cable to the PC.

If the printer still doesn't work, your drivers may be corrupt. Re-install the printer software.

Does a power indicator light come on when you switch your printer on?

If not then it sounds like the fuse has gone in the plug and you will need to replace the fuse.
