What the hell is wrong with everybody on here? I really don't see how being a virgin is so noble. All these people keep saying that it's great not to have sex, that sex isn't that good, and that a man would rather have a virgin. Last things first, what guy wants to marry a virgin? She won't know what the hell she's doing. What woman would want to marry as a virgin? What if the guy you married sucks at sex? Also, whoever these guys are seeking out virgins to marry must be really really insecure. Now, people saying that sex isn't all that great are wrong. I feel bad for you women saying that because you obviously keep getting with guys that are no good at it. To the guys saying that, well I don't know what to say about you, I guess learn what you're doing. Finally, being a virgin is not bad, but it's also not that great. There's nothing noble and pure about it. It also doesn't mean you're a loser. People are suppose to have sex. If you don't want to have sex, that's fine.

Actually your friend should think of herself as a precious gem because she still has her innocence, but she has to be very very very careful because she is probably very sensitive and we all know how guys will try to use her and break her heart.
What is she really missing out on? Premarital sex? temporary relationships? looking at men as shallow? Being used up physically or mentally? I am a virgin but i just hit 40 so i know exactly what your friend is going through.
She needs to be in a place where there are men that will share her values and morals. If not church then maybe a charity organization where there are good guys that love to help others. As i have told a few women in yahoo answers, if you wanna meet a good guy, you need to be in an environment where u can meet guys that will help others unselfishly, cause if he can treat strangers this good imagine how good he will treat her.
You can be a good friend to her by listening to her, getting her to talk about how she feels about being this way, and what steps you and her can take to help get her to where she wants to be, but remember since she is shy to help her take baby steps because change best comes gradually over time.
Good luck and keep me posted on how shes doing.
Look up to jeremy's answer and you will see what i mean when i talk about most men. that is a life that revolves around sex and its probably the most important thing in his life. Like i said, take care of your friend cause she is rare in this world today

22? I have a female friend who is 32 and virgin. Another one, male friend, 31, also virgin. They seem OK with it. Isn't it good to save the best for last?
I'd also choose to marry a 22 years old virgin, rather than a girl who slept with 20 guys.
Why losing a virginity is something to be proud of? Don't you have to keep it because it's special?

If your friend isn't worried about it, why are you? It sounds like she is just fine. Everyone goes through things at their own speed and time. As she is still a virgin, the only thing she seems to be missing out on is pregnancy scares, worries about STD's and worrying if he only wanted sex and will never call again.
She will lose her virginity when she is ready to.

I have a friend of mine that is a guy and he is still a virgin and he is 27. He is VERY good looking, muscular and everything. He just feels that he wants to wait until he finds the right one. Your friend will know when she is ready.

She's 22, pretty and never been kissed? Wow,that is rare these days. Is she really religious? Maybe she's waiting for "Mr. Right!" Either way, being pretty and 22 is rare.

She will not miss out, give yourself to someone is something to treasure, giving it up to every Tom, and Dick and Harry isn't missing out. And if she wants to wait until she is married then support her, Becauase once you get older and look back on it all you will realize you should have waited for that one true love.

Missing out on what?
Men who are going to lie to her just to get her in bad.
Men who will dump her after they get her in bed.
Men who are going to cheat on her because they already had her in bed...
Let life and love take it's course, not everyone need to have sex and all that before a certain age.
