my husband had a vasectomy before we got together. We have no kids together, and i have none of my own. We have been talking and we really want a child together. But my question is could i be pregnant?

I didn't have my period this month, only spotting. I've been waking up every morning sick to my stomach. I can't stomach some foods and want pickles( i never eat pickles) My husband is really excited because he thinks that i am pregnant and wants me to go get a test. I told him that i didn't think it was possible. He told me that it was because his doctor told him he still had a chance even with the vasectomy.
Could that be true? Could i be pregnant? It would make me sooo happy, but i don't want to get my hopes up. please help me. My husband is so excited.

And for those of you that think negativly. I have never messed around on my husband. I have already been asked that by one of my husband's friends. He said that he knew that i was 100% faithful, but how could i be pregnant.

He had his vasectomy 2 1/2 years ago. I don't know if that changes anything.

i have heard that if you think about it too much then your body thinks it is, but honestly i have had so much going on that a baby was the furthest thing from my mind until now.

It's definatly a possiblility. my bro-in-law had a vasectomy done and about 6 years later my nephew was born. so yes it can happen. It wouldnt hurt to go get a test to be sure though. If it shows negative then go see your dr they can always run a blood test to make sure. good luck.

I've heard of people getting pregnant because a little guy snuck through. So anything is possible. For your sake I really hope it's true. Try to explain to you husband though that the chances are slim so not to get his hopes up. Take a test. Spotting and no period could be a sign of pregnancy. And just to be on the safe side, pick up at least 2 tests. Lol And schedule a blood test at the docs!!! Good luck, I'm rooting for you!!

yes, very possible!! vasectomys are NOT 100% (well, nothing is except abstinence and hysterectomy!) anyway, its not very common, but it can def happen! they def sound like symptoms, unless (sorry but i have to throw in this option too) if you have been thinking about it very often, your body could "think" its pregnant and offer the same symptoms. i would go get a cheap test and make sure! good luck!! if youre not, vasectomys are easily reversed, and are a much more effective and successful reversal than for a woman!! good luck! i hope you two get a baby!!

It is possible for the tube to grow back, depending how long the tube was cut. But it's a very slim chance. I think the odds are like .01 chance. I forget.

Possible as vasectomy is supposed to be reversible!
