sin75=sin(30+45)
=sin30cos45+cos30sin45
=1/2 1/2^-2 + 3^-2/2 1/2^-2..........^-2 is root two
=1/4*2^-2 + 3^-2 / 2*2^-2
=(1 + 2*3^-2) / 4*2^-2

one+two root three upon four root two

it's 0.9659258, just by a scientific calculator, but if you need in exact values, just use the fact that sin(a+b)=sin a cos b+ sin b cos a,
so you can find it by:
sin 75= sin(30+45)
=sin 30 cos 45 + sin 45 cos 30
= 1/2 * 1/2 sqr root 2 + 1/2 sqr root 2 * 1/2 sqr root 3
= 1/4 sqr root 2+ 1/4 sqr root 6
if this is for school usually you'll need it in exact values.

sin 75 = sin ( 30 + 45 )
= sin 30 cos45 + cos 30 sin 45
= 1/2 . 1/\/2 + \/3/2 . 1/\/2
= 1/\/2 ( 1/2 + \/3/2 )
= 1/\/2 ( 1 + \/3 ) / 2
= ( 1 + \/3 ) / 2\/2

sin 90 is 1 and sin 60 is .86 then sin 75 is somewhere between then that is .93

2007-07-08 11:55:10 · answer #6 · answered by jaggy 2 · 0 0

sin 75 = sin(45+30)

sin(A+B) = sin A cos B + cos A sin B

sin(45+30) = sin 45 cos 30 + cos 45 sin 30
= (1/sqrt(2) x sqrt(3)/2)+ (1/sqrt(2) x 1/2)
= (sqrt(3)+1) / (2*sqrt(2))
= 0.965925

sin(75) =
sin(45+30)
sin45*cos30 + cos45*sin30
1/sqrt 2 ( sqrt3/2 + 1/2)
2.732/2.808
It is app 0.98
