In reality 1000 USD is never going to be enough to start a business you need to have enough in an account to cover all your expenses for 6 months (at least) it usually takes this long before you can even think about making a profit. There is no get rich quick trick that really works. The only thing that works is hard work and time and a lot of effort and determination not to give up. Good luck with your dreams but I think you will need more money.

There are a few business you can start that small, lawn mowing, gutter cleaning, window washing, painting, hedge trimming, washing cars, janitorial.
Once you start making money you can save some of the profits to build your business. Say you decided to do lawn mowing, you would spend the money you have on a mower, rake and tarp. Then mow a few lawns and buy a wheelbarrow, shovel, hedge trimmer, string trimmer and save for a landscape trailer, then save for a second mower and you can get an employee and offer landscaping services. Get an education in landscaping maybe working for a landscaper while building your business, take classes in horticulture, learn to make and maintain water features. In a few years with education and experience you can do full service landscaping. My brother had a crew of 4 yesterday that just did basics that charged $700 if he had wanted something special it would have been worth more.
Take business classes to learn to run the business once it gets past just you doing the work.

I think as a start, you should consider those businesses with a very low investment cost. Internet business is one of the ways. I like internet business as it will allow me to work anytime and anywhere. With current technology, the process could also be made automated. With a proper system setup and correct web marketing strategies, you could easily earn some passive incomes.
There are a lot of internet business models you could consider of (e.g. buying and selling domain names, affiliate marketing, auctions, selling digital or physical products, creating paid newsletter or websites and many more).
Find out more from the link in my profile. It will tell you how to setup a successful online business step by step regardless of your experience and background. It will also tell you what are the reason behind each step, how you could go about doing it and where you could get the necessary resources free or at a low price.
Hope that it will be helpful to you.
