If you have cingular (ATT) then you can go to the "MediaNet"
Then just go to "sports" - and you can put the redsox on your favorite teams list. You can check the games boxscore, get play-by-play coverage, get stats, and almost anything else besides actually watch the game. It does cost a slight bit of money to use media net but if you add it to your plan it wont.

OR - I am pretty sure there is someting similar for your cellphone on MLB.com

If you have Verizon, just go to their website and follow the prompts. I had that feature last year and the test messages really add up fast so be careful! You will go over your limit really quick if you have updates after each inning. You can turn it on and off whenever you want though so if you are going to be unable to listen to or watch a certain game, you can turn it on for that game only. It is great if you really have to miss a game!
