no, and i think you should accept the fact that women can think for themselves and should be allowed to instead of held back by your ideas

I always thought it came about with horseback riding or war. Either of those would be difficult to do wearing a dress. Men returning from war or doing frequent riding would just start wearing them all of the time. Women on the other hand made the clothes...and which of those would be easiest to construct - the dress. Furthermore, you can not ignore the religious implications and influences of women wearing dresses. There is a Bible verse that states that men should look men and women like women. Some (not me personally) have interpreted that as a reason women should wear only dresses or skirts.

I don't wear dresses, skirts etc. I am a modern day woman who does not desire to have children, I do not cook and I only clean when it is sanitarily required. I also "wear the pants" in my current relationship and all of those that have been in the past. I feel sorry for you because one day you will have a rude awakening and realize that clothes do not make a person male or female and they really have little purpose other than keeping us clean and protected from our enviroment. Skirts do not keep my legs protected especially in my line of work or in an astronauts daily activities. Women today or unstoppable and we will never stop going forward and proving everyday that we can do anything that a man can just better.

You are a corker, Sandy.
Now, I do want to say this:
If a person is that intelligent, and is privileged and dedicated enough to receive the education required, and they progress to the Elite number of persons who earn a flight in space,
then I believe they are entitled to your Respect. Male or female.
They have out-accomplished the majority of the population and risk their lives for the advancement of science, medicine, and technology.
I find your disrespect of these esteemed fellow countrymen ungrateful and offensive.
I mean, if you can do her job better than she does, go for it. Otherwise, shut up. Your question personifies the ignorance of sideline critics.
PS Next time one of my girlfriends wears her astronaut gear out, I'll pass on your advice. Personally, mine's been in mothballs for years.

No. You very clearly know your little question here is very sexist and possibly offending to us women, so why are you even asking it?
Quit with the eons old saying that we should "Let the men wear the pants". Its the 21st century, the age of feminism, and a woman is able to do or wear whatever she wants to, with the men having minimal say in it.
And even then, these should only be treated as comments and not judgements.

Ok I'll bite; we just have to be sure the skirt is hemmed with a material that is too heavy for graviyt and yet light enough for her to wear. This is too funny. I would be nice if all women were housewives; you can't always have what you want. Don't worry about that space junk it's weightless. Here's a drink (hands him a glass of pepsi)

You just wrote a run-on sentence and run-on sentences are not correct in the English language which we speak here on Yahoo Answers and you know that it bothers me when people make stupid mistakes like this when they are writing answers and by the way that idea is wrong because the space suits are specially designed to maintain pressure around the body and you can't establish this in a dress.

I completely disagree with you on this one. Women can hold whatever job they desire, and wear the required uniform too, even if it doesn't hold your standards.
I'm curious what you think of Scottish kilts though. Do you think the Scots are trying to be like women? In their culture, only real men wear kilts.

**** off. Females can wear pants any damn time they want to, it's not for you to say other wise. Female astronauts set excellent examples for other females just by being astronauts and proving they can do it. You stupid azz women can do more then clean and we've been proving that for years! How dare you think it'd be okay for them to be exposed like that just so you can get your way! They're your motherfuckin' slave dogs! They don't deserve to be treated like that! How dare you think we should stop being equals!

No, because their skirts would just be flying around everywhere and they would end up flashing everyone. Based on the question you asked the other day, that would go entirely against you're own morals.
