yep.
shop brought sandwiches have more salt than a bag of crisps & so expensive/over-priced.
buy your own ingredients & make your own.
wrap well in cling-film or foil.
you'll be amazed how much you'll save over the week & you'll know exactly what you're eating, too.

save money? as in, what are the alternatives, are you talking about bringing your lunch as opposed to dining at a restaurant with other executives and learning what's going on in the company? (which learning is the reason why you go to a restaurant in a group). Or a student packing their own lunch for nutrient reasons? My entire food for a day costs about $1.50 at most. If I made a lunch with a sandwich, fruit, and candy bar (candy bar prices have gone thru the roof), I'd surely be paying more than $1.50.

So "nutrition" is the reason why people pack their own lunch, not to save money.

Hello dear!
Well, compare to what?
It seems to me that whatever I do (pack, eat at the work cafeteria or restaurant), I spend more than the people around me!
Well, why is that? Because I only eat food I approve and I am good in selecting and preparation!

Depends on what you're packing for lunch.

No. It all adds up to the same (or more) of eating fast food when you get down to it. With the price of bread, meat, cheese, and even paper bags, you aren't saving much.

I haven't questioned it. But if you have to question it. Maybe you should try eating out more. To see for yourself.
