Yes you can match them, as long as is not a very old monitor.,
old monitors dont support the high resolutions of today softwares.

Most monitors now come with a separate power supply. The connectors for data are now the same on modern motherboards (the socket is usually colour code mid blue at the back of your computer). If you need any further help any computer shop will give you advice even If you do not purchase anything often by googling computer hardware shops in your local area. Also consider ordering on reputable online stores as they can sometimes work out cheaper than high street stores. -Just watch out for whether delivery and VAT are included. Benjy -Manchester

Almost always the answer is yes and the terminals are compatible.

If you have a Windows 98, first editon pc or older however, you may have a problem.

I suggest you buy the new machine and see. Worst case, you need to get a new monitor which you can get locally.

Most graphics cards have a VGA port and many have a DVI port, some have both or more than one.

As long as the monitor has the same connectors (interface), you should be OK.

.Still not sure? Ask the vendor before you buy.

You can get pretty much any monitor to work, yes. Even if you have an ancient GPU with only VGA outputs and your new monitor has just DVI, you can get an adapter.

yup. a monitor is just a screen and doesnt have any data or information in it but the computer is what really matters to have your computer up and running.
