Both him and Hillary are pandering to the Black Vote.
Obama made comments about the plite of blacks in New Orleans, poverty, lack of education, ect.
Who the hell has been running New Orleans and the rest of the state for years,Democrates.
"Keep them dumb, keep them poor, bus them to the polls and show them where to make their mark, keep them voting democrate."

Condi does not live her life as coming from anything other than UBER rich.
Condi came from way too much money from birth for you to even put her name in your question without paying the Royal tithe. Kneel down when you type out the Her Highness's title next time. Have a little respect at least.
And try to remember to walk backwards when you exit the room.
If you're lucky she may let you Kiss the imperial ring.

First what candidate or President hasn't doesn't pander to specific voters.
Bush's pandering to the whacko Christian fundies is a perfect example.Other candidates pander to "law and order" wing nuts, some to Hispanics, some to left wingers etc etc.
Most importamt ,is that Rice is NOT RUNNING FOR PUBLIC OFFICE and has stated firmly she has no intention of doing so.Ipso fact, your analogy is erroneous.
Your claim that if white candidates pandered to their own race they would be crucified is patently ridiculus.
I suggest you get down to the South and listen to politician candidates as they ,with coded words and phrases ,pander to the racists.
Given the centuries long history of horrid slavery and Jim Crow which effectively only ended with the Civil Rights Act of the 60s and nearly destroyed the Blacks ,most tolerant people understand the need for Blacks to be pandered to for a little longer .
Racists and Neo racists ,who had lost their copy of the BILL OF RIGHTS for almost two centuries when Blacks were being enslaved, raped, tortured, lynched killed etc, all of a sudden today have found their copy of the Bill OF Rights and are demanding EQUAL TREATMENT.
Nothing wrong perse with this EXCEPT OF COURSE THE OUTRAGEOUS HYPOCRICY.
I would hope you are not included in this astoundingly hypocritical-double standard group and is just using your newly found Bill of Rights copy to make sure Blacks never RECOVER .

Curiously enough, I have heard that Hillary carries the most support in the black community. I don't think he is pandering to the black vote but instead trying to gain support from all people of all colors. Maybe you notice it more because you are white. I think it is way past time that America gets over the color thing and the gender thing and elects a PERSON that can best lead this country. With 8 years of George, I am somewhat sick of the lily white good ole boy form of government. He shoved his way into the white house, he has lied to America and he has done nothing but thug politics since he took office. Had it not been for Katherine Harris and Brother Jeb, he would be in Crawford Texas down on the farm. It is 2007, high time to be past the crested or cloven, not my words but the words of Queen Elizabeth 1. Race and gender do not play a part now. Credentials and leadership skills do. Hillary Clinton is much loved by the black community, as is her husband because he was a man OF the people and FOR the people. Unlike George Bush who is a man for the haves and have mores of his BASE.

I don't think he panders to black any more then the Clinton's do. At least he doesn't insult blacks by trying to fake talk like them, like she did. If you check you will find that most of his money comes from rich white people. I think he speaks to blacks so they understand that he is really running and believes he has a chance and give people of color the hope the maybe the country is really growing up.

I don't know about all of that, but I do know that pretty boy Obama would get eaten alive on Capital Hill and in the White House due too his lack of political experience.
Hillary on the other hand eats people alive period.
They are both obvious socialists so neither not only WILL NEVER get my ear, they also wont' get my vote.

Good morning RLP....You might have a point..I really never paid much attention on what you are saying but I will from now on. Obama seemed to me as a good running candidate but I also believe he doesn't have the experience on what it takes to become the president. In my opinion he's a newcomer. He hasn't been in the political view very long not like the others for instance.. I myself don't look at race but how much experience and trust and ideals one has to run for our presidency. Obama seems to have good morals and views and good ideals if he became our president but I don't believe he has the experience. He's young, and new to the political stand point and I myself wouldn't vote for him for this reason not because of his race. Now Hillary has the political experience not too mention being the "First Lady" and now being a Senator and her husband being a former President. She has good intentions with good ideals and seems to me pretty much on the honest side so with this in mind she'd make a good president for our country. I can't say for myself that Obama is racist because since I don't see him as making a good president due to lack of experience I haven't paid much attention to his morals or ethics on his own race. I have seen however a few of his speeches on CNN and it seems to me he has a lot of followers of all races not just AFA. Condeoleeza Rice does her job and she does it well. She doesn't portray herself as a certain race but as a woman in office that respects her job as an individual.I don't like to place race issues on an individual because of the fact I look at a person for whom they are as a person and how they represent themselves morally and ethically. Have a great day!

his church isn't racist. that is so ridiculous.
he is not always going for the 'black' vote. since he is mixed sadly he has to prove himself as 'black enough' and many have questioned that. he has been working hard to fix that and shape his image.
its still early in the race. he's being smart and laying the ground work by creating a base. he's also attacking his weakest points first

Yes, I've noticed that also. He and Hillary are going to kill each other over who can pander to the poor and make the most empty promises.
Frankly, it's the only chance either of them have of coming close to being elected. Those, looking for government hand outs will vote for them. The educated workers will tell them to stuff it (unless they happen to be socialists).
