do you still have a traditional British Sunday lunch and does everyone sit down together?

I'm making steak and ale pie, new potatoes and carrots (both home grown!), peas and yorkshire pudding...all smothered in gravy.

what are you having?

Oh my gosh - your lunch sounds gorgeous - hope you enjoy it, I'm sure you will. I love Sunday lunch but don't make it every week - this morning we had a big breakfast - Big English Fry up with sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, potato smiley faces and toast - so don't think I could handle a roast dinner today - thats set me up for the whole day!

I try to always make a Sunday lunch it's not as traditional as some peoples are. I am a vegetarian and my daughter is a vegan ohhh and my partner is a meat eater.

It's based on a traditional British Sunday lunch but without the meat. I absolutely love it and look forward to my Sunday lunch. Usually have plenty of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, mash potato, roast potato , a vegetarian pie or similar and oodles of gravy and of course I have to mop the gravy up with some bread..lol
However I am running behind today so it will be a takeaway for the evening meal.

Oh that sounds lovely, we go to a really lovely pub in the Yorkshire Dales for a Sunday lunch every other week, we don't bother cooking one just for the two of us these days, but we do sit down to some sort of meal still.

My family normally have a roast dinner with all the trimmings on a Sunday, but my dad is away today so my mum didn't bother. I had curry and chips instead.
