Yes, I think most women want a guy who's HONEST but there are caring, loving ways to express that honesty. Just blurting out "you look like a fat cow in those pants".....well that may be "straight forward" as you say but it's not a very nice or loving way to put it. Love means telling the truth in KINDESS when it will hurt the least.

You asked this question for women and unfortunately you will probably get responses from little girls both mentally and physically. The thing is no one really likes bad news, it against our nature, after we live a while we learn to appreciate honesty. Now by live a while I don't mean chronological age I mean experience, Which has taught me not only to be straight forward but to expect it. It has allowed me to know where I stand, grow where I' ve seen room for growth and save my self a lot of pain in a relationship that was going no where.... So No She May Not Appreciate It Now, but She Will One Day..

It depends on the topic. I think typically when women ask questions about how they look, even if it's bad, you have to spin it in a way that is still complimenting them....but yes, we do appreciate honesty even if it's hard to hear sometimes. She may get angry or upset at first but will eventually appreciate it.

To me yes, definitely,that's the only way I could get to know him,and I know that he will be honest with me. Even if I will not like what I may hear,that will fine too because the truth do hurt.

There's a difference between straight-forward and blunt. I like and expect honesty, but that doesn't mean a guy has to be brutal. There's nothing appealing about that.

No....if I look like crap after a night out I want him to tell me i'm beautiful
If I've gainned some weight during the Holidays I want him to tell me i'm sexy.
I want him to tell me i'm smart even if I don't know how to program the dvd
I want him to tell me i'm a good cook even if my roast is a little too dry.
