I am getting an EnV on tuesday. I am going to add 10 dollars a month for unlimited in texting and 500 extra messages free. If I send instant messages, will the IM's also be taken out of my unlimited texts and 500 extra messages?.....I sure hope so!!!!!

They will. I recently did the same thing because I IM a LOT on my Verizon phone, and my instant messages count with my unlimited texting package.

if you send your instant messages from the verizon web page to another verizon customer free. part of the unlimited
other wise you will be drawing down on the 500 units.
for $20 a month you can get unlimited on all the messages.
check out the web page. do not trust the people in the retail store they will mislead you

What Michael said is true about the unlimited being only to verizon customers. VZW Messenger should be covered by in messaging. If your phone has aim or yahoo though it wont count. The 20$ a month Michael is referring to though requires a plan change not an add-on so you will want to do it when it won't affect your contract, and try not to do it mid-month.

it makes use of the internet as its recieving KB off an internet service. aim isn't texting its instant messaging on the internet its like me sending my IP on your comp and yours sending it to mine. you may get endless KB i've got faith for 20 and endless text fabric in case you get the a hundred and forty dollar plan for each little thing particularly evern KB for instant. yet whilst no longer then 20 and it use to be 10 for txt
