You can't win them all.
But at least he has been more consistent, and still leads the points table!

So he's human after all; made a tiny pit error, got rattled, and had an ordinary drive the rest of the day. Would have been good enough for most people, but not him, and not on a day when the Ferrari team performed absolutely perfectly and Kimi drove like a man who really wants it (unlike big baby Alonso). Hamilton is going to soon feel the flip-side of overblown hype and attention, in that when he has an even-slightly less-than-perfect day, everyone is going to come down on him. A podium finish is not bad, but because he's Lewis Hamilton, the impression is third is as bad as if he had let that shmo Scott Speed beat him.

It wasn't his best really. Perhaps he didn't quite get the best set up for the track. The harder tyre didn't seem to be the best choice either and there was his little mistake in the pits. It could be a sign of the pressure getting to him a little maybe. Who knows?
He's still pretty consistent but the Ferraris look like they're going to mount an impressive charge for the second half of the season.
Besides, like other people have said, you cant win them all.
It's interesting to know that Kimi has the most wins this season now and is only 3rd in the championship.
I thought initially it would be a fight between the two Mclarens, but Kimi or Massa could manage it yet, especially if Mclaren can't match Ferrari's recent pace.

I think Hamilton did what he had to do. Score valuable championship points. You don`t always have the best car, but to win a championship, you always have to get the most out of the car as possible. The gap between Kimi and the rest was helped out by Lewis just taking it easy and bringing the car home in one piece after it was aparent that Kimi and Alonso were both faster on this day.

Just because i live in England, I did not think that Lewis Hamilton was going to win for sure. I would have liked him to win but he can't win every race, Unfortunately. He drove well and he only made a small mistake during his pit stop.
As for the person named 'Cheeky' What the F**K do you know about F1 and Lewis Hamilton anyway!

It says a lot about Hamilton's talent, whether you're sick of the hype or not, that a race is considered to be a disaster if he finishes third behind a Ferrari and a double world champion.
Hype is hell of thing, even worse in England-home of perennial sporting disappointment- but it was inevitable that Lewis didn't win at Silverstone, it would have made the remainder of his season on ITV absolutely unbearable

Hey!
This is an another proof...like after Magny Cours that Hamilton is hell not special!!!
At last he is coming face to face with problems and shows that he can't handle them properly...
I am sure if you put any amateur in a good mclaren, like he did and give him all the technical and moral support...he'll drive the way Lewis did!
But Lewis doesn't now even manage to win from pole....I would've liked to see him stall on the grid and then see what position he would get - 10? Hopefully?
Or if he was shoved into F1 last year...I would see him try to put up a competition for Michael Schumaher or at least keep him off for 15 laps like Alonso did in Turkey....hehe.....he wouldn't manage.....
At last Hamilton is getting the positions he deseves...

I thought Raikonnen was always going to win. He had the quickest car by miles. Alonso suprised me by taking the lead after the first pit-stop but Raikonne had the best strategy. Hamilton was never going to win, but I think he should have had second.

Doesn't it seem strange to you that the results of Ferrari and McLaren seem to have reversed since the (alleged)sabotage/secret information issue was publicised. Perhaps there is more to it than meets the eye.
Hamilton is not that great, oh yes he has done well but put any good driver in the best car on the circuit (as a Ferrari fan it hurts me to say that) and you will get similar results. Now however when the going is getting tougher maybe he is showing that he is not that special.
I am sick however of ITV making every grand prix the "Lewis Hamilton Show" and frankly the advert breaks come as welcome relief. I don't really mean that but without them we would not see grand prix racing at all, guess we will just have to suffer.

I`ve no idea where you are from (Mars) but your knowledge of F1 is non existent, Hamilton has exceeded anybody`s wildest expectations, if he didn`t score another point for the rest of the season that would still be OK.
I`m guessing you`re American.Where did Scott Speed finish?

he came third. pretty good for his first ever F1 home race. he made a few mistakes and held his hands up. there is no doubt in my mind we are looking at a future world champion. maybe this year maybe not. i was there cheering him and Fernando on. as a McLaren fan i was well happy. as a matter of fact, Jenson was supposed to win at silverstone - they offered us £50 back on our tickets if he did. the ironic thing for me was i have spent the last 4 years willing kimi to win at silverstone. he did it this year, but in a different team.
