my spinach is only about 1 to 2 inches tall and it is going to seed. Does any one know why this would happen?

I don't know where you live, but spinach is a cool weather plant usually planted in early spring and harvested in late spring. Your spinach is probably responding to the heat. You can try to replant the spinach for a fall harvest.

Spinach prefers a cool growing climate--spring or fall. It's the heat that's making it go to seed before it gets very big. You'll be able to put in another crop in the fall.

you have grubs in your soil and they are eating the roots from under the ground . this crop is gone call an exterminator to get rid of the grubs . good luck.

You have to keep picking it while it's tender, much like you do leaf lettuce!
