Not just tort law but actual criminal sanctions exist to protect minors from this type of exploitation. The first questions police would have are these: What was the purpose of the recording and why was camera hidden? Were parents, for instance, hoping to get a look at how the kid was treated by various babysitters, perhaps? The next one is, how is that recording being used today and is use prohibited in any way? Here's the civil question: Were recording parents acting within the scope of reasonable when they recorded child and, if not, what compensable harm has resulted? First, you check the black-letter stuff (criminal legislation), then the local civil law cases regarding breach of privacy and so on.

They answer your question and then thumb everyone else's down. They think because it closes the others answers for them that the only answer you will see is theirs. It doesn't work this way. It only works that way for the person thumbing. Everyone else will get to see the answers even with the thumbing down.

No - because I go to all sorts of places and some category is not a place where they can likely answer anything.

Sometimes. I end up with tons of thumbs down or deleted answers. Stalkers and trolls are annoying!

Nope - but then, I don't ask very many questions; if they want to answer the same questions I do, then all I can say is good luck - they'll need it ;-)

I don't know. I guess that's possible, but people change their names and avatar so regularly that we really don't know, do we? That's okay, I don't mind it, really. If someone is that interested, let them look, has always been my motto.
