For at least one day people thought more about global warming, maybe they turned off a light or turned down their AC. My guess is with all the cries of hypocrisy from the right, this little concert ( i didn't watch it) did more good than harm.

The right wingers keep bringing up this stupid concert, making people think about the issue, looks like "live earth" was a huge success.

Maybe, but we still need about 10,000 average people to cut back so as to subsidize the excesses for just one of the rich and famous crowd.
Because lemme tell you, they ain't cutting back.

The rock concert did nothing of any significance. It was merely a chance to party and make liberals feel that they were accomplishing something by watching. It will have no lasting effect, other than make Gore feel good about himself. Global warming and embryonic stem cell research are still scams and people will go on doing what they are doing in their everyday lives. I drive a hybrid, recycle and probably breath more deeply than most leftists would like, but it's not because of any lecturing or junk science campaigns by democrats looking for an excuse to raise taxes. Like most thinking people I recognize a fraud when I see it and ignore it for the most part.

If the concert was to bring awareness than carbon neutrality has to come a little bit later of the event.

I watched it and guess what . Its a middle class white issue . A few black performers but the crowds were white folks .

So carbon is dark and its was almost carbon free .

It was like a nascar crowd only better dressed . Izods Polo and other designer clothing .

nope not in the least bit.

Hypocrisy? umm how many cars do you think were driven to these concerts? private jets?

If you watched even 5 minutes you would have seen piles of plastic bottles the performers were drinking from not to mention the crowd.

the number of people crammed in to a small area taxed the water, electrical and sewage system.

and my guess is 85% of any money made for this "event" is going to pay the people involved and then maybe the rest will go to "Climate change".

Oh and for any one who says Al Gore bought Carbon credits to keep the concert "Green", who owns the company that sells those credits? Two hints, his last name is "Gore", and his first name is "Al".

Talk about hypocracy.

I Respectfully disagree, While the multitudes of the Rich tell us to turn off lights, they themselves(most of them) expand their lifestyles which usually includes multiple houses and cars, jets and other carbon producing items. We cut back so they can use more. eventually they will ask us to stop eating so we can feed the world and their diet won't be effected. Don't buy into this garbage. Enjoy life as YOU see fit, not the way they tell you, that is what freedom is. Using good old common sense you won't need them to guide you.

Al Gore has a product to sell. There are people who are making alot of money from global warming. Al already has a TV network devoted to broadcasting the green message. He has said that he needs a private jet to conduct business. I need a vehicle to do my job but they want to dictate the size and type of vehicle that I drive. It is called hypocritsy

Dude, it's over 100 in most parts of the West, and over 90 in most of the East. I'm pretty sure most people didn't turn their AC down.

No, its not supposed to be. Being an environmentalist is about feeling good about making other people live carbon neutral lives, not actually living carbon neutral yourself.

Using the force of government to make other people sacrifice is the goal. Not making sacrifices yourself.

Al Gore is a huckster and a hypocrite. The US dodged disaster when he lost the 2000 election.
