are all more or at least 1000 years old. why are not named modern pieces of architecture, recognasible monuments etc. I would appreaciate if the wonders were those featuring in the pretty old computer game named sid meier's civilization. the first one:)
is it a reality that last century architecture does have nothing to concur the foreseeing masterminds, enormous work done and wonderfull craftmanship of the ancient world?

I am only addressing your leading line, so I know this is not complete.

Most of the ancient wonders of the world no longer exist. Since they can't be touched or seen, some idiots are trying to say they never existed like the hanging gardens for instance.

Only recently have they chosen the new seven. I am not impressed, are you?

These were the ones that got the most votes. The only way modern architecture could have gotten the votes would have been to only include modern architecture. At least with this new list, all of the world is included not just the original wonders of the world, because that was not the whole world.

I disagree with a lot of the new "Wonders".

They're all man-made, and I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I don't respect the fact that the people who had a part in building these things didn't produce an amazing piece or architecture... All I'm saying is...shouldn't the "Wonders" have some aspect of "Wonder"? The Pyramids, The Grand Canyon, Easter Island Statues, etc. Hell, even the Bermuda Triangle...people wonder about it all the time...

1000 years old-? some are less-some more. It was alot harder to build something like the pyramids then with only slave labor. At that time Egypt was a powerful and advanced civilization. Just imagine engineering something like that in those times.

Modern architecture has not yet survived the test of time. It has to be durable withstanding, time, flood, antiquity and all of the other lame excuses to be a true wonder.
