During Live Earth Leonardo diCaprio introduced Al Gore as "our global messenger of hope" - do you think that's true? I thought he was just an ineffectual failed politician. Our Global Messenger of Hype is more like it. Let's face it he's more successful now than he was as V.P. Still find it amusing that these mega rich keep preaching "green" when they use their green to off set their contribution to pollution.

Al Gore does not have a 'God-like status! What he does have is a genuine concern about the condition our planet is in! He has been told by scientists that there is a real problem with global warming on earth! If people don't choose to see that concern, then the ending result will slap them up the side of the head! And if not them, then it will certainly effect our children and grandchildren!
In our family, we try to recycle as much as we can! We pick up litter when we see it! We don't drive so there is not the worry about adding to smog!
As for t he concerts! More and more people are coming to realize that there is a problem! Other wise why are so many helping with the concert?I only hope that more will see what is going on, and try to change their habits and conserve and reduce green house gases!
So, what are you doing to help! Besides running your mouth about someone who is doing something?

Al Gore is no different than Michael Moore; as long as people give him lip service, he'll continue to profit off of them, and we'll all continue to suffer from his noise pollution! Can all of you remember his claim to have invented the internet!? A few weeks ago, there was a joke going around that Al Gore needed to raise funds for a global awareness project, so he was selling the internet! I almost peed my pants laughing!!! But really, don't buy or rent his stupid videos full of half truths & lies... download them off his internet!!!

I think you should stop worrying about who the messenger is and concentrate on the message.
Read the scientific studies and decide for yourself.
Ignore the hype and the cult of personality bull. The media builds that stuff up to sell advertising time.
